The mind is an increasing awe. It is an output of the labor of neurological structures, but it appears that it is more than a physical product. In everything that we do, our mind takes the lead.

I know that Sigmund Freud was a physician who devoted his profession in neuropsychiatry.  He is the Father of Modern Psychiatry because of his Psychoanalysis which is sensational and is hardly accepted over the years

In Psychoanalysis, all human actions are deriving from our needs. Our mind is the receptors of the cries of our needs and it makes a way to act on them, but the nature of our acting upon our needs changes.  From the mere benefit of satisfaction, it shifts to reality binding principles- which actions are acceptable and not acceptable to the society. It is not our needs that changes but our consideration of them and how we act on them. The mind has its own way to repress from our consciousness the needs that can arise to chastisement. If repression would fail, neurotic problems may arise.

THE NATURE OF OUR NEEDS.
For Freud our needs and motivations are directed from sexuality. At the onset of our birth, we are driven to catch the attention of the opposite-sex parent. This sounded the alarm. He also laid down Literature as benchmark of a kind of mental process in human beings. The free association of sexuality to our motivations- unconscious or conscious- is sensational in itself. Doing his lecture campaigns about Psychoanalysis when the Holocaust was still fresh is equally sensational.  Today, many self-confessed disturbed people originate their situations from familial affairs. Freud said that the development of mental process is begotten from the family. This a point of interest for me, and I would want to see more clearly the link of familial affairs to the development of our mental processes in the light of Sigmund Freuds Theory Psychoanalysis.
